Ak-Chin Education on Introduces Computer-Based GED Program to Prepare Students for the New 2014 GED Exam

An excerpt, from the Ak-Chin O’odham Runner:

The Ak-Chin GED Program is adapting with the times in order to thoroughly prepare GED students for the new 2014 GED exam. The new GED exam requires students to have more background knowledge about exam topics than the previous version of the exam. On the 2002 version of the exam, strong reading comprehension skills could get students through most of the exam. However, with the 2014 exam, students must walk into the exam room with prior knowledge about subject area content in order to expect passing scores. In addition, students must be able to utilize critical thinking skills to apply what they’ve learned to exam questions.
