The White House is hosting a Tribal Leader’s Conference Call to discuss tribal opportunities in the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative<http://www.whitehouse.gov/my-brothers-keeper>.
NCAI encourages tribal leaders to make their voice heard on this important initiative aimed at helping boys and young men of color achieve their full potential. My Brother’s Keeper is an interagency effort to improve the educational and life outcomes of boys and young men of color by focusing on the critical challenges, risk factors, and opportunities that young men of color face at key stages of life.
The goal of the initiative is to address the persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and determine what federal, state, and local efforts can be better utilized to offer support and ensure that these young men can reach their full potential.
